After I had a late breakfast at Goldy’s Breakfast Bistro I decided to continue my exploration of downtown Boise and while I walking through the Capital City Public Market I stumbled upon freak alley.
Freak Alley was one of my favorite stops on my trip to Boise. Freak Alley started in 2002 with a single painted doorway in alley in downtown Boise and has since expanded to become the biggest outdoor art gallery in the northwest. Freak Alley, located between 8th and 9th street and Idaho and Bannock St. in downtown Boise, is the collective work of over 200 local mural and graffiti artists and is the heart off the Boise art community. One really cool thing about Freak Alley is that every two years they repaint the alley and feature new local artists. ‘
