Our time in Berlin came to an end, but the moms trip continued on. Next stop copenhagen! But first we had to get there. So we made our way to Berlin Tegel Airport for our EasyJet flight. Upon arrival we had some time to kill, and we headed to the lounge. The Priority Pass Membership that comes with my Chase Sapphire Reserve gives me lounge access world wide. As Easy Jet departs from the C Terminal, there was one option, the C-Lounge.
Location/Hours
The C-Lounge at Berlin Tegel Airport is located Airside near Gate 80 and is open from 6:30-23:00 daily. The lounge is is a bit difficult to get to if you are leaving from one of the lower gate numbers. As the terminal is subdivided, those at the lower gates have to take a crazy backway to get there. If you follow the signs to the C-Lounge, the path takes you through the creepy back corridors of the airport, but finally spits you out near gate 80 at the lounge.
C-Lounge
My first thought when walking into the C-Lounge was dann this is a small lounge. There were a few tables, including bar style seats with power outlets, but there was nothing as far as cushy chairs for relaxing.
What I didn’t know at the time, is that there was actually a second floor to the lounge. I didn’t see any signs or indications that the second floor of the lounge actually existed, but at 6:30am I may have just overlooked it.
From the pictures on the airport website it looks like the 2nd floor is designed to be the relaxation area of the lounge. The lounge also provided a selection of international newspapers and magazines, flight information, wifi, and had some TVs.
C-Lounge Food/Drinks
We walked into the C-Lounge the second it opened, and they already, had a wide variety of food on offer.
This food included pancakes, sausages, cold cuts, yogurt, salads, and a large selection of pastries. As we were eating they brought out even more food.
I grabbed a plate full of pastries. Most of them were pretty good and it made for a pretty decent breakfast.
For drinks they offer a wide variety of large bottles of soda, beers, wines, and sparkling water.
For your morning coffee fix they have a large coffee dispenser. While I didn’t see any liquor, it was still early and they may not have brought it out yet. It could have also potentially have been upstairs as I didn’t realize upstairs existed.
Overall
The C-Lounge at Berlin Tegel Airport is a solid place to start your day. It offers a good variety of foods, drinks, and places to relax. Make sure to check out the upstairs portion of lounge as I did not,
