Adventure never stops and with the Boise Adventure completed in and in the books, we have been busy following the deals which are regularly posed on our Facebook and Twitter and going on some amazing budget journeys which will be written up this month. Additionally we are extremely hyped about what we have in store and share with you what we have upcoming. These upcoming trips can be followed live on our Instagram. Keep in mind we go where ever the deals take us and our goal is to go somewhere different each month, so this is only a small taste of what is in store.
November/December 2018
Monterey, California
This trip will be my next feature trip. During the second weekend of November I flew down to San Francisco on Delta and flew back on United’s basic Economy and drove down to Monterey. Among the attractions that will be featured are the scenic 17 mile drive, the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, and Compagno’s Market and Deli.
Salt Lake City Road Trip
For Thanksgiving we road tripped with our puppies to Salt Lake City Utah. This was a crazy adventure with both Stephanie and one of our Dogs getting sick. Between the madness we had an amazing time in Salt Lake; we ate some amazing food at Chedda Burger and The Other Place, visited some amazing parks with the Bug, and drove up to the Olympic Park.
January 2019
New York City
For my birthday present to myself I am going to be flying on United’s first 787-10 flight from New York to Los Angeles and given that it is Stephanie’s birthday as well we decided we should make a trip out of it. We are going to be seeing what cheap adventures and eats New York has to offer. Given it is our birthday we may find a few things to splurge on as well.
Nashville
Also in January we are going to be checking out Nashville, Tennessee. Stephanie has a work event in Nashville so I decided that I would tag along. As I had a stockpile of British Airways Avios that have been burning a hole in my pocket, I thought I would try out American Airlines Domestic first on the way there and try their basic economy on the way back. While we are there I can confidently say that I will be eating an obscene amount of Barbecue and might even have enough courage to check out a honky tonk.
February 2019
Mom Trip to Europe
This trip started out as our way to spend our 90,000 Iberia Avios we each got from Iberia’s incredible promotion that was run back in July (this may have been the best travel deal I have seen and I will discuss the promotion in detail in a separate post). However a few months after we booked out trip, I saw a Delta flash sale for round trip flights to Europe for 27,000 Skymiles round trip (normally it is about 50k-60k). Because I had about 60k Skymiles banked and knew that Stephanie was really wanting to take her mom on a trip to Europe, I figured heck we might as well and invite my mom too.

This trip is going to be extremely packed with a lot of fun. Stephanie and I will be visiting Colmar, France by ourselves and meeting our moms in Frankfurt, Germany as they fly in the next day. From there we are planning on making our way up to Berlin and flying to our last stop in Copenhagen, Denmark.

If this wasn’t exciting enough, on the way home Stephanie and I will be flying back from Copenhagen to Seattle on British Airways First Class. Due to the Iberia promotion I mentioned above, $8,000 a person first class tickets were only $473 each. I have never flown anything but Economy internationally so needless to say I may be most excited about going home, and yes, in case you are wondering our moms are flying back home in economy though don’t judge us too harshly as we booked our flights months before we had even though of adding our moms to the trip and they are flying back to a different city so we could not offer our first class flight to them.

April 2019
Zagreb, Croatia
Due to a massive error fare on the part of Croatia Airlines I was able to find some extremely cheap tickets from Seattle to Zagreb, Croatia. Croatia has been a destination I have been extremely interested and given I will only be in Croatia for a short three day stay I am going to pack as much as I can into those three days. One of my goals in Croatia will be to visit the stunning Piltvice Lakes a few hours outside the city.

May 2019
Guadalajara, Mexico
I was able to take advantage of a huge Black Friday sale that was being run by Volaris Airlines and was able to book round trip flights from Seattle to Guadalajara for about $200. This destination has really interested me as there is a lot of history in Mexico that I have wanted to explore and it is one of the least expensive places to visit. I am sure I will soak up some history while eating some amazing food.

November 2019
China
One thing that I have been absolutely obsessed with are these guided tours to China you see various travel agencies offer for $400-600 with tour, hotel, flight all included. I have never been on one but I know these tours are typically heavily government subsidized and include a handful of stops to shop at government owned stores, but getting to take a 10 day trip through china for less than the price of flights seems absolutely worth it.
So when Cyber Monday rolled around and I got an email for one of these tours for $299 Stephanie and I could not pass it up. Over thanksgiving we will see what these trips are all about and even if it is a disaster we are sure to comeback with a great story.
