This quote by the late great Anthony Bourdain is something that we live every time we travel. Travel is not always clean, it is not always easy but it is lasting. We consistently make memories we will never forget, learn things we never would have otherwise known, and constantly change our perspective on the world around us. Travel has helped shape us and make us who we are; travel is beautiful. Our goal is to share that beauty with our readers, and leave our imprints on them and inspire them to create their own life changing adventures
Who Are We?
Kevin
Since excitedly shouting “Money!!!” when his parents gave him a toy cash register at the age of two, Kevin has been obsessed with finding good deals. Yet, it wasn’t until he studied abroad in London during first year of law school that he got his first real taste of travel. After that, there was no turning back.
In the decade since that study abroad trip, Kevin’s goal has been to travel to as many different places as possible while spending as little money as necessary. Whether it is through strategic use of credit card points and airline miles or finding extremely cheap airfare, Kevin plans life changing international getaways for a fraction of the price that most people would spend on an extremely similar vacation. Happy Wallet Adventures has been a dream of Kevin’s for years, and he really hopes to educate and inspire people to take budget trips.
Stephanie
The first time Stephanie stepped onto a plane was boarding a flight to Honduras in the ninth grade. That was when she fell in love with travelling. Experiencing other cultures, eating local fare, and meeting the people that make each place unique is her goal for every trip.
She hails from a land of daring sword fights, magic spells, and princes in disguise: Orlando, Florida. Growing up, she was surrounded by the spectacle and magic of theme parks like Disney and Universal. So naturally, her life’s mission is to visit every Disney Park in the world!
Just two months after she started dating Kevin, she knew that she found her ideal travel partner and forever person. Over the July 4th week, they embarked on a 12 state road trip which turned into a lifetime of unforgettable journeys. Where Kevin is the meticulous planner, Stephanie is the carefree adventurous spirit that can derail the plans Kevin so carefully crafted. Together they keep both their wallets and each other happy.
